UFG has been committed to the active participation in all the links of the natural gas value chain since it was established in 1998, and in the infrastructure needed to ensure control of the processes and achieve greater flexibility.
UFG is a specialist gas company operating in international liquefied natural gas (LNG) markets and also at the national level, where it has established itself as a key leading operator. Today it is one of the top three operators, in both total sales and market share.

Founded in 1998 in Spain, UFG is active in all the links that make up the natural gas value chain, from the supply at source to marketing, through to supply, liquefaction, shipping, regasification and distribution.
OUR HISTORY
Since its inception, as a gas subsidiary of the electricity utility Unión Fenosa, UFG has opted for a differentiating market strategy focused on seeking competitive gas at source and the active participation in all the links of the supply chain.
KEY FIGURES
With a total share of 15% in the Spanish market and sales in 2011 of 56,900 GWh, UFG is one of the top three operators in the market. In addition, the company plays an outstanding role as a global agent in the international gas market.
SHAREHOLDERS
50% owned by Spanish company Gas Natural SDG, S.A. and the Italian company Eni SpA, UFG is an independent gas operator in Spain with an important international presence.
