UFG markets natural gas in two distinct spheres: National (Spain) and International.

In the international market, through its trading unit, it actively participates in the marketing of gas on the major global gas markets. In Spain, through its subsidiary (100%), Unión Fenosa Gas Comercializadora (UFGC), it supplies gas to the electricity generation (combined cycle power plants) and industrial sectors. It also has an indirect presence in the domestic-residential sector through other marketing agents.

In the particular case of the industrial market, it has a diversified portfolio of almost 400 customers, which places it as the second largest, by sales volume, in this sector. All these large, gas consuming companies are present in industrial sectors such as the manufacture of paper, ceramics and building materials, and chemical, automotive and food and beverage manufacturing.
